Caitlin Clark led Iowa’s charge with an impressive 32 points, setting a new NCAA single-season scoring record previously held by Kelsey Plum. Hannah Stuelke contributed 12 points and four blocks for the Hawkeyes.
Despite a strong effort, West Virginia fell short, scoring 19 points off turnovers and matching Iowa’s 24 points in the paint, notably performing well in the second quarter and tying in the fourth. Ja’Naiya Quinerly led West Virginia with 15 points, supported by Kyah Watson with 13 points and Jayla Hemingway with 10. Kylee Blacksten made two blocks for West Virginia.
